Nauset Flotilla, a Cape Cod unit of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, will offer a boater education and safety course on Saturday, October 6th, at the Eastham Public Library at 190 Samoset Road.
“About Boating Safely” is lively and fast-paced but still in-depth. Topics include federal and state boating laws, required and recommended equipment, navigating on the water, handling emergencies, and paddle craft safety.
The course, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., is open to adults and youth 12 and older. Class size is limited, however, and registration is required. Cost is $45, for the course textbook and all materials.
