The Barnstable County Department of Health says mid-June is one of the worst times of the year for tick bites and tick-borne illness transmission.
Health officials have been seeing a lot of Lyme Disease and illnesses like Alpha-Gal Syndrome are on the rise.
The Lone Star Tick population has exploded on Martha's Vineyard and they're increasingly being found on Cape Cod along with Deer Ticks which thrive in the high humidity.
