State Representative Chris Flanagan will not be representing the First Barnstable District for a third term.
The Democrat failed to submit nomination papers by the May 5th deadline, so he won't be on this year's ballot.
Flanagan pleaded not guilty last year to federal wire fraud charges and one count of falsifying records related to his first campaign for state rep in 2022.
His trial is slated to begin next week with a pretrial conference set for Tuesday.
