Sean Duffy Speaks On Gas Prices

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy says gas prices will come down once the Strait of Hormuz is open.

Duffy told ABC's "This Week" that it will take time "to get back to where we were before the conflict began," but added that Americans "will see relief" once that happens.

The prediction comes as drivers are still seeing prices at the pump continue to rise.

Triple A reports Sunday's national average price for a gallon of regular gas is four-dollars-and-44-cents.

That number is up around 35 cents from last week.

Drivers in California are paying the most at the pump, with the average sitting at six-dollars-and-ten-cents a gallon.

Massachusetts drivers are paying $4-34 a gallon.

Rhode Island drivers are paying $4-37 a gallon.

Connecticut is paying $4-51 a gallon.
