Trustees at Cape Cod Community College have voted to appoint Ellen Kennedy as the school's interim president.
The move comes after an investigation found that former president John Cox was involved in inappropriate and unprofessional conduct and he retired in March.
Kennedy has served as president of Berkshire Community College for the last 14 years.
The board will now send their recommendation to the state's Department of Higher Education.
