An arraignment is set for today in Barnstable District Court after the latest arrest of a convicted Cape Cod drug kingpin.
Thirty-four-year-old Alex Fraga was arrested Friday after a multi-agency task force carried out search warrants leading to 4-point-5 kilos [[ 9-point-9-pounds ]] of cocaine and 125-thousand-dollars cash.
He was taken into custody during a vehicle stop as the search warrants were being served. Fraga is the same Hyannis man who pleaded guilty to federal charges in 2017 that included conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute fentanyl and heroin.
The Barnstable Police Department Narcotics Unit has been investigating individuals distributing cocaine in Barnstable and the surrounding area.
