Man Arrested After Fleeing From \Massachusetts State Police In Yarmouth

A man is in custody after he allegedly fled from Massachusetts State Police at speeds of more than 100-miles-per-hour over the weekend.

A trooper attempted to stop the 34-year-old driver on Route 6 early Sunday morning, but he took off and crashed on Starbuck Lane in Yarmouth.

Police were setting up perimeter to look for the driver when officers spotted a man walking on Arrowhead Drive near the crash scene.

The man told police he was a passenger in the vehicle, but police say he was actually the driver.

The suspect was booked at the State Police barracks in South Yarmouth.
