The Dennis Fire Department now has two new ambulances in service.
Officials say the vehicles were entirely funded through ambulance receipts for a savings of more than one-point-three-million-dollars to the town and taxpayers.
Dennis Fire Chief Chris Guerreiro says the achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of department members who have been involved since the very beginning - especially the Ambulance Committee, EMS Coordinator, and Department Mechanics.
Chief Guerreiro thanks local officials for their support and the crews who worked to transfer equipment and ensure the ambulances were ready for service.
