MSPCA-Angell Sheltering Pets Belonging To Cape Cod Residents Without Power

MSPCA-Angell is sheltering pets belonging to Cape Cod residents who are without utilities or dealing with storm-related damage.

The shelter was able to secure a diesel delivery to keep the generator running at the Cape facility.

MSPCA-Angell has activated its SafePet Program to provide temporary housing for animals on the Cape until families are able to return to their homes.

If space fills at the Cape shelter, staffers will coordinate with other MSPCA locations to accommodate as many pets as possible.

The MSPCA says during emergencies, some people stay in unsafe conditions because they don't want to leave their pets behind and no one should have to choose between their own safety and their animal's well-being.
