Governor Maura Healey's ban on non-essential vehicle travel remains in effect for Barnstable, Bristol and Plymouth counties and the ban has been extended to Dukes County.
The governor says as the state begins to shovel out after the blizzard, conditions remain severe and dangerous across Southeastern Massachusetts, and everyone should stay off the roads for their own safety and to allow our crews to do their work.
The governor says members of the Massachusetts National Guard will be assisting municipalities with snow and debris removal, transportation, non-fire related emergency responses, rescues and any other needs.
The travel ban will be lifted when conditions are safe.
