Chatham Airport To Ask Voters For Cash At Annual Town Meeting

Chatham's Airport Commission is proposing a study to determine if any safety changes are needed at the airfield.

Voters at the annual town meeting May 11th will be asked to approve 75-hundred-bucks in free cash to be used for the study, with the other 135-thousand-dollars needed coming from the FAA and the state.

Voters will also be asked to put up 17-thousand-500-dollars to go towards the nearly 683-thousand-dollar cost to replace the airport's navigation equipment, where the rest is also being covered by the Feds and the state.
