The search is expected to resume today as crews try to locate a man who fell through the ice at First Encounter Beach over the weekend.
The victim and his wife were walking their dog when they apparently fell through the ice.
The woman was found Saturday and pronounced dead, but her husband has not been located.
First responders say icy conditions and poor visibility have made the search difficult, and diving has not been effective.
Crews have been searching on foot along the shore and by air using a drone.
Meantime, the family of an Eastham couple that fell through the ice at First Encounter Beach has released a statement.
According to NBC-10 Boston, the daughter of Kit and Jerry Boucher says the family is devastated by the loss and they appreciate the privacy and discretion the community is extending during this unimaginably difficult time.
The couple had been walking their dog Saturday when they fell through the ice.
The family is also deeply grateful for the heroic efforts of the first responders in Eastham.
