Cape Cod Healthcare is holding its 16th annual Nicholas G. Xiarhos Memorial Blood Drive this Friday and Saturday.
The U.S. Marine corporal, and son of Barnstable State Senator Steven Xiarhos, was killed by a roadside bomb in 2009 while serving in Afghanistan.
The blood drive honoring Nick started a couple years later, and it has been held every year since.
This year's blood drive is being held at the Cape and Islands Association of Realtors building in West Yarmouth.
Friday's hours are from 10:40 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Saturday the hours are from 7:40 a.m. until 2 p.m.
