County Commissioners Hold First Off-Site Meeting In Falmouth

The Barnstable County Board of Regional Commissioners held the first of its off-site meeting in Falmouth Wednesday.

Town officials, county staff and members of the public attended the meeting to discuss regional priorities and challenges, including immigration issues.

Falmouth officials highlighted the impacts of increased immigration enforcement on schools, businesses, and community life.

They also emphasized the importance of resident education, de-escalation training and access to multilingual resources.

Commissioners commended the Town's recent immigration forum for fostering respectful and inclusive dialog and opportunities to share resources and best practices.

The board's off-site meeting series will continue on February 25th in the Town of Barnstable.
