A Bourne Police Officer is returning to patrol after being hit by a car.
In June of 2025, Officer Brian Doble was hit by an SUV while directing traffic.
While Doble was able to walk under his own power and was released the same day, he needed major surgery later on.
In the wake of the incident, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation increased safety measures in front of the school.
