It looks like the Barnstable County Sheriff's Office doesn't have to worry about how to fund its addiction treatment programs after all.
The agency was one of hundreds nationwide that received letters from the Trump administration this week saying grant money for those programs was being cut off.
However, reports indicate that directive was apparently reversed last night behind closed doors after a lot of pushback.
The Sheriff's Office receives more than two-and-a-half-million federal dollars to run programs to get opioid abusers on the right track.
