A Hyannis man who remains in ICE custody since his arrest last year has had charges against him dropped, but he's still behind bars.
Thiago Bastos was arrested last May on traffic and potential DUI charges and was placed in ICE custody following his arraignment.
Since that time, Bastos has not been able to make any court appearances, with lawyers saying that ICE officials haven't been able to "present" him for court.
He's allegedly still jailed in an ICE facility in New Hampshire, but is no longer facing charges after an Orleans district court judge determined Bastos' right to a speedy trial has been denied.
