Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe's Minimum Wage To Increase In The New Year

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe is increasing its minimum wage in the new year.

According to the Cape Cod Times, the rate that will take effect increases the wage by three-percent - to 25-dollars-per-hour.

Tribe Chairman Brian Weeden says the higher pay rate reflects the commitment to supporting employees and Tribal members as costs of living continue to rise across the Commonwealth and the Cape region.

Weeden says the increase is an investment in the Tribe's employees, operations, and well being of the community.
