Dennis Animal Control is asking for the public's help to find the person who shot a cat.
Officials say the cat was shot and injured in the Trotting Park Road and Sunset Lane area of West Dennis sometime over the past week.
The cat is alive and receiving treatment.
Area residents are asked to check their security and doorbell cameras, or outdoor footage that may help to determine what happened. Anyone whose cameras recorded anything unusual is asked to call Dennis Animal Control.
