The federal government shutdown has ended, and SNAP benefits are being fully reinstated, but some Cape Cod residents may still need immediate assistance.
Those who don't receive benefits by their regular issuance date should directly contact the Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance.
The Cape Cod Cooperative Extension is helping residents stay informed by posting SNAP updates, local food resources, and tools to help stretch the grocery budget.
For recipients who need food right now, the Cape Cod Food Resource Guide lists local food pantries, community fridges, and meal programs.
