Cape and Islands District Attorney Robert Galibois says charges against two Hyannis shooting suspects have been dropped.
Eighteen-year-old Evan Araujo and 19-year-old Jacob Winbush were initially arrested on counts of assault to murder for allegedly shooting a woman on October 18th, but new evidence later surfaced.
Galibois says the alleged victim was armed and tried to rob the young men, but she has refused to cooperate as to her actions, and the Commonwealth cannot proceed.
Araujo remains in custody after pleading guilty to a Youthful Offender indictment and he will be sentenced on January 9th.
