Harbor Homes of Martha's Vineyard has opened its winter shelter at a temporary location while it continues to search for a permanent building.
The nonprofit that assists the homeless says Islanders who need a place to sleep can stop by the shelter at 111 New York Avenue.
Shelter director Lisa Belcastro tells the Martha's Vineyard Times that guests must check in between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. and they will be served a "hot, nutritious dinner and homemade breakfast."
Capacity at the shelter is 25 beds.
