Woman Dies After Rescue From Naushon Island

A woman has died from the injuries she suffered while escaping a boat fire last week.

Last week, Cici Sullivan, her husband and son were sleeping on their vessel when it caught fire, and they jumped into the water and swam to Naushon Island.

The family found shelter in a farmhouse, and they were found by rescuers on Wednesday after failing to return to Falmouth on schedule.

All three family members suffered burns and were taken to Cape Cod Hospital where Cici passed away from her injuries on Thursday afternoon.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the Sullivan family with funeral expenses and their recovery process.
