Police on the Cape had a busy Sunday responding to crashes that injured several people.
Shortly after 1 p.m., police were called to the Bourne Bridge for a head-on crash. Rescuers used the Jaws of Life to rescue one person.
The victim was taken to St. Luke's Hospital trauma center in New Bedford with critical injuries. Shortly before 4:30 p.m., two vehicles crashed on Sandwich Road at Long Boat Road.
Two people were injured and taken to the hospital. At around 8:15 last night, a crash at Pitcher's Way and Wagon Lane sheared off a fire hydrant and water flooded the roadway.
At least one person was taken to Cape Cod Hospital for an evaluation.
