No Great Hollow Beach Access Due To Stair Construction, Dune Restoration

Access to Great Hollow Beach in Truro will be unavailable for the next 90-days due to the construction of new stairs and dune restoration.

Town officials say storms and a rise in the sea level have caused the beach stairway to degrade over the last few years and repairing them is not feasible.

Construction of the new stairs is scheduled to begin today and public access to the beach and the north side of the parking lot will not be available.

The south side of the parking lot and the benches at the end of the parking lot will remain open to the public.

Equipment will be staged in the Great Hollow Beach parking lot during construction, and the Town will provide updates as they are available.
