MassDEP's Full-Scale Oil Spill Response Training In Barnstable Tomorrow

The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection is sponsoring a full-scale oil spill response training exercise in Barnstable tomorrow.

The exercise at the Prince Cove Marina in Marstons Mills will include an on-water deployment of containment and exclusion boom.

Officials say peat moss will be used to replicate real-life spill conditions.

Participants will need to use Prince Cove Marina's boat ramp for the exercise, but ramp will remain open to the public

The training exercise will take place from around noon until 3 p.m.
