Two ACI Prison Guards Revived Investigating Jail Cell Substance

Two guards at the ACI maximum security men's prison had to be revived with Narcan as they investigated an unknown substance in a cell.

According to the Department of Corrections, the officers were trying to determine the source of an unknown odor on Sunday morning when they began to feel faint.

The guards were treated at the scene, then taken to Rhode Island Hospital as a precaution.

There is no word yet on the nature of the substance and the investigation is ongoing.
