Hurricane Erin Wind, High Surf Advisories Remain In Effect

Wind and High Surf advisories remain in effect for Cape Cod due to the effects of Hurricane Erin.

The Wind advisory is due to expire at around 2 p.m. in Barnstable, Dukes and Nantucket counties.

The High Surf advisory will continue until 8 p.m. Saturday with large breaking waves, dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion.

Several area beaches remain closed to swimmers until further notice.
