A new housing program has been launched for Eastham and Orleans property owners.
The Lease to Locals program is the product of a partnership between the two communities.
This aims to increase access to year-round housing, by providing incentives to convert short-term rentals or vacant units to the purpose.
Eligible property owners may receive a one-time payment of up to 15-thousand dollars per unit.
Qualifications include properties be located in-town or have not had full-time tenants for more than one year.
More than a dozen communities are using the program across the US, with five seasonal communities in the Bay State.
