Erin's Impact Forces Changes In Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven Routes

The Steamship Authority is planning for possible disruptions of service as Hurricane Erin moves up the Atlantic Coast.

Unless conditions change, the authority is diverting the Oak Bluffs service to Vineyard Haven, on the Martha’s Vineyard-Woods Hole route, effective now through Friday morning.

High-speed ferry service may also be disrupted on the Hyannis-Nantucket run.

Updates are posted at Steamship Authority dot com.

While the center of the storm is expected to pass approximately 300 miles off the Cape and Islands, High Surf Advisories have been posted for the shores of Barnstable and Southern Plymouth Counties until 8 pm Thursday.
