It's back to the drawing board for the consultant working for a developer trying to bring a new specialty grocery store to Mashpee.
A public hearing has been held where the consultant presented a series of safety improvements for six busy intersections along Falmouth Road near Shellback Way where the store would be built.
However, a Cape Cod Commission subcommittee raised several concerns about the project beyond safety, with the store's impact on traffic being tops on the list.
Even if the panel likes what it hears at a final public meeting on the issue September 3rd, the store will still have a lot of red tape to cut before any construction begins.
