The east coast is keeping an eye on Tropical Storm Erin that's expected to reach major hurricane status.
The New England area isn't likely to be directly impacted, but rip currents are expected to be a factor.
Rip currents have killed more than 50 people in the U.S. and Puerto Rico this year.
Erin is expected to become a hurricane by later today or early tomorrow and a major hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 111 miles per hour by Sunday.
