Advanced practice providers working for Cape Cod Healthcare are planning to join the Massachusetts Nurses Association.
Nurse practitioners, physician assistants and certified nurse midwives sent a letter to the healthcare system's CEO saying they were unionizing to gain a stronger voice when it comes to patient care and negotiating fair compensation packages.
The group has filed paperwork with the National Labor Relations Board about its intentions.
