Barnstable Police Say Shots Fired Incident Does Not Appear To Be Random

Barnstable Police say the shots fired incident at a Hyannis apartment building does not appear to be a random act of violence.

No one in the Cromwell Court apartments was injured Wednesday night when shots rang out shortly after 11 p.m.

Bullets were later found lodged in the wall of a child's bedroom, but he was not hit.

Police canvassed the area and found shell casings on the complex playground, but they could not locate a suspect.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call police.
