Contract talks resume today between the nurses' union and Cape Cod Healthcare management.
The Massachusetts Nurses Association says even though union members have voted to authorize a three-day strike - it does not mean they will strike.
Union bargaining committees will determine whether there will be a strike based on the response of management during negotiations.
Nurses are calling for competitive wages, safer working conditions and more affordable health benefits.
