The man accused of stealing the wallet from a Hyannis gas station customer is staying behind bars for now.
Forty-six-year-old Imuran Charlemagne entered a not guilty plea on Monday for Saturday's incident at the United Gas station on Falmouth Road but will remain in the county lock-up until his probable cause hearing August 22nd.
He's accused of snatching a woman's wallet from her hands as she was exiting the station's convenience store.
Charlemagne was later found at the Hyannis Host Inn and police recovered about three of the four-grand that was taken.
