Northland Residential Corporation is building 54 new apartments as part of a residential expansion project at Mashpee Commons.
The project along Market Street and Jobs Fishing Road will include more than a dozen affordable apartments for qualifying tenants.
Northland Residential says the region is in critical need of additional rental housing and Mashpee Commons is the ideal location for a new residential neighborhood.
The new units are expected to be available for initial occupancy during in the third quarter of 2026, with full occupancy in around two years.
