The committee conducting a search for a new Steamship Authority GM says several dozen candidates have applied.
According to the Martha's Vineyard Times, the committee agreed last week that its candidate interviews and negotiation should be done in closed-door sessions until a finalist is selected for recommendation.
The candidate will eventually replace Steamship Authority General Manager Robert Davis who announced last September that he would be stepping down this November.
