A driver is dead after crashing their car in Yarmouth early Thursday. Police were called to Willow Street near Eversource shortly after 5:30 a.m. where they found a car that slammed into a tree, trapping the driver.
The victim was pulled from the wreck and pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the victim's family has been notified, but the person's name has not been released.
According to the initial investigation, it appears that the driver was traveling southbound on Willow Street at a high rate of speed before the crash.
