Eastham is holding its special town meeting this evening at 5:30 p.m. asking for authorization of 170-million-dollars for Phase One of the Targeted Watershed Management Plan.
Phase One includes a treatment plant and a collection area around Salt Pond for several hundred properties.
Construction would not start until late next year, but the state's deadline to accept a low-or-no-interest loan is the end of June.
