Falmouth leaders are worried about the potential impact on the Cape's sole source aquifer by activities on Joint Base Cape Cod.
This time, a gun range proposal isn't the issue, it's an idea being floated for a combined civilian and military airport.
The Falmouth Select Board is planning to send a letter to the state detailing its concerns, which include noise, extra traffic, air safety and overall quality of life impacts on top of the drinking water worries.
Governor Healey placed a gun range at JBCC on hold last fall after local officials made a similar argument against it.
