Hundreds gathered to support the Yarmouth Police Run for a Reason 5K in memory of K9 Sgt. Sean Gannon, who was killed in the line of duty in 2018.
State Representative Steve Xiarhos - who served with the Yarmouth Police Department for 40 years was on hand for the event and he presented awards during the opening ceremony.
The Sgt. Gannon K9 Handler of the Year Award was presented to Officer David Auguir and K9 Edo, for their exceptional service to the community.
