Harwich residents are a little bummed out after learning that a local favorite is likely being lost to progress.
The Sundae School Homemade Ice Cream shop on Route 28 is preparing to open for the season next week, but how long it's able to remain open is up in the air.
Developers are planning to tear down the store to make way for a 28-unit housing project.
The location has been in operation since 1998.
Its sister store is located on Lower County Road in Dennis Port.
