Harwich Plans To Enact Water Restrictions

Harwich is the first Cape town turning to water restrictions as drought conditions persist on the C-and-I.

The entire region sits under the significant drought umbrella that's been in place for a number of weeks, so Harwich Water putting restrictions in place beginning May 1st.

Non-essential outdoor use will be limited to two days per week between the hours of 5 p.m. and 9 a.m.

Homes with even number addresses will be allowed to use sprinklers and irrigation lawn watering on Wednesdays and Sundays while odd number addresses will be limited to Tuesdays and Saturdays.
