Summer Tourism on Cape Cod Slows Amid Inflation and Trade Disputes

Cape Cod is bracing for a slower summer season as economic hurdles weigh on travel plans.

The Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce says family vacations are dropping off amid rising costs, with early booking numbers trailing past years.

Ongoing U.S. trade tensions have also led to fewer Canadian tourists, a group that once made up a strong part of the region's summer traffic.

Chamber officials say the combined challenges could make this season one of the toughest in recent memory.
