The Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries says there has been an overwhelming response for this year's horseshoe crab spawning survey with several hundred offers to help.
The volunteers will be conducting the surveys two days before, the day of, and two days after the new and full moons of May and June.
The Horseshoe Crab Spawning Beach Survey takes place each year at 16 different beaches, mostly on the Cape and Islands.
This year's survey is scheduled to conclude on Friday, June 27th.
