Some Brewster residents are making a push for electronic voting.
A citizens' petition requesting the town use 35-grand of its free cash reserves to buy 800 e-voting devices was presented to the Select Board.
It had a dozen signatures, enough to get the request placed on the Annual Town Meeting warrant.
Supporters say simplifying the voting process could lead to bigger turnouts to town meetings, while opponents don't like the idea of spending money before determining if the change would be worth it.
