Jury Selection Continues In Karen Read Murder Retrial

Today is the sixth day of jury selection in the second Massachusetts trial of Karen Read.

Ten jurors have been seated for the retrial of Read, accused of killing her Boston police officer boyfriend John O'Keefe by hitting him with her SUV in 2022.

At least 16 jurors are needed before the trial can begin.

No further jurors were selected on Monday.

The defense team has filed a second motion before the US Supreme Court which asks the high court to stay the start of the re-trial until after justices determine the "double jeopardy" question before them.

Read claims she left O'Keefe at the home where he was found dead, and she's being framed by the actual killers.

The judge declared a mistrial last year when the jury in the first trial could not reach a unanimous verdict.
