A Yarmouth man has been arrested in connection with a homicide in Hyannis.
The 36-year-old suspect is charged with murder in the shooting death of a man overnight Sunday in the North Street parking lot near Washington Street. Police arriving at the scene say the victim suffered a gunshot to the head and he was pronounced dead at Cape Cod Hospital.
Witnesses told investigators that a dark pickup truck was seen leaving the area after the shooting and a Barnstable police officer spotted the vehicle short distance from the scene and the driver was taken into custody.
The suspect is being held without bail.
