The Dennis-Yarmouth School System has been awarded state funding to expand student behavioral and mental health services.
The 147-thousand-dollar grant from Governor Maura Healey's administration can be used to strengthen skills to recognize and respond to mental and behavioral health challenges and improve data systems to track the efforts and impact.
The funds will also help to promote the piloting of universal mental health screening systems.
Overall, the state awarded five-point-five-million-dollars in grants to 60 school districts in Massachusetts.
